Blooming views
The mightier nature is, the more delicate are her flowers. And the more vivid their colors, the more fleeting their blooms. But the delight you’ll experience seeing our alpine wildflowers – this will last forever.
Experience the splendour and variety of alpine flora in the alpine garden at Berggasthaus Ebenalp.
They’re a long time coming. First there’s a slow thaw. Then, suddenly, a great awakening: springtime in the mountains. Bright yellow buckler-mustard, blue wolfsbane and delicate white bogstar burst from the fertile earth. They all arrive: the common and the rare, one more beautiful than the other, from royal purple to sunny yellow. Thriving in the Alpstein’s lime-rich mountain soil, these wildflowers bring the meadows to exuberant life, courting the favor of countless insects and delighting every living thing with their spectacle.
But it doesn’t last for long; the glory of the million blooms is fleeting. So be sure to take a front-row seat while you can, in the middle of the action, here in the mountain meadows of Ebenalp.
