A pleasant walk from the mountain station to Wildkirchli, than past Alp Bommen to Schwende. This route gives excellent views of the scattered settlements of the Appenzellerland.
Once you reach Schwende, turn right and follow the Schwendebach stream to the valley station in Wasserauen.
